How do I make my claim?

Please submit your claim as soon as possible, ideally within 24 hours, and no later than 30 days from the date of loss or damage. You may conveniently submit your claim through the Etiqa+ app (via Google Play Store and Apple App Store). For full details on claim notification requirements, procedures, and claim settlement, please refer to your Policy Contract.

When does the coverage start and end for each trip?

For domestic travels within Malaysia, your coverage runs from 12:01 a.m. on the policy’s effective date until you return home to Malaysia or 11:59 p.m. on the policy’s expiry date, whichever comes first.

For international travels, your coverage starts 6 hours before your scheduled departure in Malaysia and ends when you reach home, 6 hours after your scheduled arrival in Malaysia, or when your policy expires—whichever happens first. If you are stuck overseas due to health reasons that lead to hospitalisation or quarantined, we may extend your coverage for up to 30 days at no additional cost.

How do I cancel my policy and get a refund of the premium paid?

There are two types of refund treatments:

Per Trip Plan: You may cancel the policy before the Effective Date and receive a full premium refund, provided no claim has been made. No cancellation is allowed on or after the Effective Date.

Annual Plan: You may cancel the policy at any time, and we will refund the premium on a prorated basis, provided no claim has been made.

If you need emergency help or hospital admission while overseas, just call our 24/7 Travel Assistance Helpline at +603-2785 6565. We are always here for you.

Can I do nomination for TripCare 360 plan?

Yes. You may nominate an individual to receive the benefit payable upon the death under the Policy Contract.

A nomination means choosing a person (such as your spouse, parent, or child) who will receive the insurance payout if something happens to you.

What does “Excess” mean?

“Excess” refers to the initial amount that you are required to pay in the event of a claim. It represents the portion of your loss that is not covered under the policy.

I'm a Malaysian departing from another country (e.g. starting my journey from Singapore and returning to Singapore). Am I eligible to purchase TripCare 360?

No. Your trip must start from Malaysia and end in Malaysia for the TripCare 360 plan to be valid.
