How do I make a claim?

All claims must be submitted as soon as possible. It is recommended to submit them within 24 hours, but no later than 30 days from the date of loss or damage. You can submit your claims via the Etiqa+ app. Please refer to the Takaful Certificate for more information on claim notification, procedures, and settlement.

When does the cover commence and end for each trip?

Domestic (Malaysia)
Coverage commences from the effective date at 12:01 am Malaysian time and ceases on whichever of the following occurs first:

  1. Immediately upon arrival at your home residence in Malaysia; or
  2. At 11:59 pm Malaysian time on the date specified under the Policy.

International (Selected Asian countries, Worldwide 1 & Worldwide 2)
Coverage commences 6 hours prior to the booked departure time for a direct journey to the place of embarkation in Malaysia and ceases on whichever of the following occurs first:

  1. 6 hours after the booked arrival time at the final destination in Malaysia;
  2. Immediately upon arrival at your home residence in Malaysia; or
  3. The expiry of the period of takaful specified in the certificate.

Coverage shall be extended at our sole discretion for up to 30 days from the expiry of the period of takaful without payment of any additional premium if you are hospitalised and/or quarantined overseas as recommended by a doctor, or as a result of any circumstances beyond your control (deemed reasonable by us) that prohibit your return to Malaysia before the takaful expiry.

How do I cancel my Certificate and get a refund of the premium paid?

No refund of contributions will be allowed once the TripCare 360 Takaful Certificate is issued.

Who do I contact for emergency assistance or if I need to be admitted to a hospital while overseas?

Can I make a nomination for the TripCare 360 Takaful plan?

Yes. You may nominate an individual to receive the benefits payable upon the death of the Covered Person sign up the Certificate.

Why do I not get any claim payout if my medical or baggage damage amount is less than RM100?

No payouts will be made for claim(s) amounting to RM100 or less in this category, as the first RM100 is borne by you.

What does “Excess” mean?

Excess means the first amount payable by you in the event of a claim, and is the uncovered portion of your loss under the certificate.
