How do I make my claim?

Please submit your claim as soon as possible ideally within 24 hours, and no later than 30 days from the date of loss or damage. You may conveniently submit your claim through the Etiqa+ app (via Google Play Store and Apple App Store). For full details on claim notification, procedures, and claim settlement, please refer to your Takaful Certificate.

When does the coverage start and end for each trip?

For domestic travels within Malaysia, your coverage begins at 12:01 a.m. on the Certificate's Effective Date and ends upon your return home in Malaysia, or at 11:59 p.m. on the Certificate's Expiry Date, whichever occurs first.

For international travels, our coverage begins 6 hours before your scheduled departure from Malaysia and ends when you arrive home, 6 hours after your scheduled arrival in Malaysia, or when the certificate expires, whichever happens first. If you are unable to return to Malaysia due to hospitalisation or quarantine overseas, we may extend your coverage for up to 30 days at no additional contribution.

How do I cancel my certificate and get a refund of the contribution paid?

There are two types of refund treatments:

Per Trip Plan:

You may cancel the certificate before the Effective Date and receive a full contribution refund, provided no claim has been made. No cancellation is allowed on or after the Effective Date.

Annual Plan:

You may cancel the certificate at any time, and we will refund the contribution on a prorated basis, provided no claim has been made.

Who do I contact for emergency assistance or hospital admission while overseas?

If you need emergency help or hospital admission while overseas, just call our 24/7 Travel Assistance Helpline at +603-2785 6565. We are always here for you.

Can I do nomination for TripCare 360 Takaful plan?

Yes. You may nominate an individual to receive the benefit payable upon your death under the Takaful certificate.

A nomination means choosing a person (such as your spouse, parent, or child) to receive the Takaful benefit if something happens to you.

What does "Excess" mean?

"Excess" refers to the initial amount that you are required to pay in the event of a claim. It represents the portion of your loss that is not covered under the Certificate.

I am a Malaysian departing from another country (e.g. starting my journey from Singapore, then coming back to Singapore). Can I sign-up this TripCare 360 Takaful?

No. Your trip must start from Malaysia and end in Malaysia for the TripCare 360 Takaful certificate to be valid.
